Kunskapsskolan Community Nederland

Giving students the opportunity to learn at their own level and pace. Enabling teachers to give each student the attention he/she needs. Setting challenging learning goals and clear criteria for students. Kunskapsskolan EDucation is like putting together a puzzle: every piece has to be in the right place. With coaching and having high expectations as central elements.
Mats Barlow has been a Kunskapsskolan professional from the very beginning. With over 20 years of experience, including as principal at a Kunskapsskolan school in Örebro, Sweden. On October 3rd, Mats delivered a keynote address on the subject of having high expectations during the Kunskapsskolan Community Event in the Dutch city of Utrecht. With some 500 educational professionals from Dutch Kunskapsskolan Partner-schools in the audience. Schoolpraat took the opportunity to talk to Mats. Together with Annemiek Jonker, Trainer/coach at Kunskapsskolan Netherlands and trauma therapist, and Madeleine Zwart, school leader of Van Kinsbergen college and the new co-host of the Schoolpraat podcast series.
This Schoolpraat episode is part of a series of three, recorded during the Kunskapsskolan Community Event 2024 held in October. The other two – about ‘Baas over je eigen leren, dat moet je leren’ and ‘See the Good’ – will be published shortly.
